Chapter 1397

In the operating room, Feather lay on the surgical table in a disheveled state, sweat soaking through her thin

clothes.

Hanzel watched the continuous blood flow, and his head felt dizzy. He staggered a few steps, and the nearby

nurse noticed. "Sir, are you okay? You seem a bit off."

Hanzel's lips turned pale, and he smiled and shook his head. "It's okay, I'm fine."

"Okay. If anything happens, you must tellimmediately."

Hanzel nodded without saying anything. Then, he approached Feather. "How are you feeling now, Fifi?" His voice

was very gentle.

Too weak to open her mouth, Feather opened her eyes in surprise when she heard the familiar voice. "Why are

you here?"

"I heard you're not in great condition, so | cin to see."

"But... I'm afraid it might scare you. You better go out." Feather felt embarrassed and pushed his hand away.

"Is it because it hurts too much?" Remembering scenes from s, Hanzel reached out his hand. "If it hurts

too much, you can bite me. But don't give up."

Feather shook her head. "I'm not as fragile as you think. | remember you faint at the sight of blood, right? You

should go out."

Seeing his lips turn pale but still insisting on squatting by her side, Feather felt a sense of gratification. She didn't

marry the wrong person.

Another wave of pain hit, and Feather couldn't control herself and screamed.

"Fifi, bite my hand!" Hanzel put his hand to her mouth. Feather was in pain and instinctively bit it.

"Ah-"Hanzel sucked in a breath of cold air from the pain but suppressed himself from making any sound, fearing

it might frighten Feather.

It was unknown how long had passed when the doctor exclaimed, "The baby's out!"

Only then did Hanzel heave a sigh of relief. Feather weakly released Hanzel's hand, breathing lightly.

Hanzel looked at his blood-soaked hand and felt dizzy again. He took the cotton swab handed to him by the

nurse, wiped the blood off his hands, and then wiped the sweat off Feather's forehead.

"Thank you, Fifi. Thank you for giving birth to our child, our baby."

Feather was taken to the ward to rest while the baby was placed in an incubator.

Susan frowned when she heard that it was a boy. "Although I love both boys and girls, it'd have been better if it

was a girl. That way, she could be as beautiful as Fifi. | hope the baby boy won't be led astray by his father."

Susan had given birth to so many sons. Naturally, she hoped to have a little princess to

pamper.

Hanzel chuckled awkwardly at this remark. "Mom, how could having a boy mean I'll lead him astray? I'll definitely

teach my child well, so don't worry about that."
