Chapter 243
Chapter 243:
That was so true!
How could she have forgotten that her company’s reputation was built on pushing boundaries and embracing
innovation?
Fearful of losing Richard, a key client, she had been playing it safe, forgetting what truly mattered—creating
designs that spoke to what clients really needed, losing sight of the bold vision she once had.
Fired up with a newfound resolve, Millie proclaimed, “Let's follow Miss Evans’ advice and break free from our
constraints. Let's embrace our creativity. Bold designs are what we need! We might lose the order, but we
cannot lose our boldness in design.”

Her words sparked renewed energy throughout the room. Freed from worrying about what the client might like,
the designers tapped into their own inspirations, and soon, a wave of creativity took over them.
The office calive with energy. Designers grabbed pens and paper or fired up their design software, letting
their ideas flow freely without restraint.
After an hour passed in a blur, several designers handed in fresh, new drafts for consideration.
Sdrew inspiration from foreign mythologies, while others fused ancient styles with contemporary design.
Khloe went through a few of the drafts, nodding in approval. “We're ready to contact Mr. Smith.”
Though Millie and the designers still felt a tinge of nervousness, she understood that this was probably the best
they could do at this stage. Millie gave a quick nod and instructed someone to forward the designs to Richard.
As the minutes dragged on with no response, the excitement quickly turned to disappointment, and the early
optimism began to fade.
A few began to grow resentful of Khloe, feeling she was responsible for the current predicament.
“She was just talking nonsense. Mr. Smith doesn’t care about innovation at all. We should never have listened to
someone from outside the company,” a designer murmured.

“It's all her fault for pushing for such bold innovation; now, Mr. Smith isn’t buying it at all,” another designer
grumbled.
“Right, she’s not even part of our company! What does she know about design? Her interference has just caused
us problems,” the third designer added, voicing his irritation.
As the minutes wore on, the grumbling intensified. Yet, amidst the rising doubts, Khloe remained as calm as
ever, unfazed by their growing frustration.
After half an hour had passed with no word from Richard, Millie's spirits sank. She regretted placing her trust in
the advice of someone so young, and a sense of discontent began to rise within her towards Khloe.

With a trace of impatience, Millie turned to Khloe and said, “Miss Evans, it looks like we've lost this order. I'm
grateful for your input, but now I have to deal with the fallout, so | can’t continue entertaining you.”
Just as Millie was about to finish her dismissal, the phone rang unexpectedly.
The entire design office went quiet, with every eye fixed on the ringing phone. Millie's heart raced, her hesitation
noticeable as she picked up the receiver slowly.
“Hello?” Millie's voice shook slightly. When she heard the words from the other end, her eyes grew wide in shock,
and her face lit up with joy.
“Really? That's amazing! Thank you so much, Mr. Smith!” Millie exclaimed, her excitement evident.
After hanging up, Millie turned to the group, particularly Khloe, her excitement contagious. “Everyone, Mr. Smith
is absolutely thrilled with our designs! He said our bold, innovative approach perfectly aligns with his vision, and
he’s decided to sign the contract with us right away.”
