Chapter 122

“Huh? Why was your video taken down?” Samantha asked before taking a bite of her apple.

Monica, still lying in bed, sat up abruptly and grabbed her phone. “What?” She tapped on the screen frantically,

her face twisting as she refreshed the page. The video was gone.

“That's impossible,” Samantha muttered, scrolling through her own feed. “There’s no way they took it down this

fast. Unless...” She paused, narrowing her eyes. “Unless Izzy had an army of people reporting it. Money is really

something, huh. She must have paid sgroup to report it.”

“Is that possible?” Amalia, who had been lounging beside Monica, scoffed. “That bitch. She's trying to silence us.

| knew this would happen. | just know that woman too well!”

Before they could delve further into the matter, Samantha's phone vibrated. She glanced down, and the moment

she saw the notification, her expression brightened. “Oh my god,” she said, turning toward Monica. “We got

another donation.”

Monica blinked. “Already?”

Samantha nodded and showed them the screen. “Fundforacause. Someone just sent five hundred dollars.”

Fundforacause was an online fundraising platform typically used for charities or personal financial struggles. But

rightnow, Monica and her supporters had turned it into a campaign to sue Izzy Rossi. The page framed Monica as

a helpless victim fighting against a powerful woman who had destroyed her life.

“There's a message with it,” Samantha said, opening the donation details. She cleared her throat and read it out

loud.

“I lost my baby because of a scheming mistress who ruined my family. | know what you're going through,

Monica. Stay

strong.

Women like Isabella Rossi don’t deserve to walk free. | hope this helps you get justice.”

Monica's lips parted slightly. She glanced at Amalia, who nodded in satisfaction.

Samantha smirked. “This is perfect. People are really starting to sympathize.” She scrolled further. “And guess

what? We haven't even been up for twenty-four hours, and we already have over four thousand dollars in

donations. My gosh, | think a media outlet will soon reach out to us. Isn't that good? An interview on the TV would

be nice, right?”

Amalia grinned. “If this keeps going, we'll get so much more.”

Samantha tossed her phone onto the bed and stretched. “At this rate, 1zzy’s gonna have no choice but to settle.

Or-" She paused, glancing at Monica and Amalia. “Or she could just chere and beg us to stop.”

Amalia smirked. “That's not a bad idea. We should keep pushing.”

Samantha leaned back against the pillows. “We'll go live again. Unless, of course, Izzy wants to pay us a visit.”

Monica didn’t say anything. She simply scrolled through the list of donations, her fingers tightening around the

phone. “Anyway, why are Calen or Cecil still not here?” Samantha asked, frowning. “Wouldn't it be good if they

chere and joined our livestream? | mean... | know | already mentioned their support online, but...” She

glanced at Monica.“Do you think you can call Calen?”

“He-" Monica swallowed. “He already blocked me.”

“Blocked you? You just lost his child. Hmph! Givehis number. Letcall him instead,” Samantha said. Calen

was a big fish. Were they really going to let him go after everything? Dream on.

Samantha quickly tapped on Calen’s number that Monica just sent her and pressed call. She placed the phone

on speaker, her arms crossed as she waited.

The call barely rang twice before he picked up.

“What?” Calen’s voice cthrough immediately.

Samantha smirked. “Wow, so you do answer calls quickly. Then tell me, why aren’t you here with Monica? She

just lost your child, and you-"

“Who is this?” Calen cut her off.

Samantha scoffed. “Seriously? We've met before. I'm Samantha, Monica's friend.” She straightened her back. “I

called to tell you to chere. Show sdecency and-"

“Don’t mess withagain.”

Samantha froze.

Calen’s voice was sharp, cutting through her words without hesitation. “If you callagain, if you try to drag

Then, just like that, the call ended.

The silence in the room was deafening.

Amalia sat up. “What would he- why does he sound so mean?”

Samantha stared at the screen, her lips slightly parted in disbelief. Then she let out a breath and tossed the

phone onto the bed. “He seems upset.”

Monica let out a bitter laugh. “Of course he is. But not because of me.”

Samantha and Amalia looked at her.

Monica's grip on her phone tightened. “He only cares about Izzy.”

Samantha immediately reached for Monica's hand. “Forget him,” she said. “He's an asshole. You deserve better.”

Monica sniffed but didn’t say anything.

Amalia rolled her eyes. “Honestly, | don’t know what you ever saw in that-"

Knock. Knock.

The sudden sound made all three of them pause.

Amalia glanced at the door, then at Monica. “Are you expecting someone?”

Monica shook her head.

Samantha got up and walked over, unlocking and opening the door. A man in a dark blue button-up stood there,

holding a stack of documents.

“Miss Monica?” the man asked.

Monica hesitated before nodding. “Yes?”

The man reached into his bag and pulled out an envelope. “I'm a process server. I'm here to inform you that you

are being sued for defamation, false light invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress

against Isabella Rossi.” He extended the papers toward her. “I need you to acknowledge receipt by signing here.”

Monica's face went pale. “W-what?”

Samantha and Amalia stepped closer, looking over her shoulder.

“You've officially been served,” the man continued. He held out a pen. “This isn’t an admission of guilt, just

confirmation that you received the documents.”

Monica's hands trembled as she took the pen and hesitantly scribbled her name.

The man checked it, then nodded. “You have twenty-one days to respond. If you fail to do so, a default judgment

may be entered against you.” He handed her the documents. “Have a good day.”

With that, he turned and left.

Samantha quickly shut the door and then spun around. “What the hell just happened?”

Monica clutched the papers, her breathing uneven. Amalia snatched them from her hands and flipped through

the pages.

“She’s suing you,” Amalia muttered. “And these aren't just empty threats.”

Monica's stomach twisted. Samantha grabbed her phone, her fingers moving fast. “We need to go live. We have

to get ahead of this.”

Monica barely heard her. Her entire world was starting to spin.
