"She's doing well." My jaw tenses as | feel my wolf making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. His fur was
being ruffled. | did not like answering that question.
"She's forgotten everything...everything?" He looks atwith a quirked eyebrow, was he really questioning the
validity of the reports. That the acting Luna of the rogue pack had lost her memory. This wasn't an opportunity
for him to take advantage of, for him to cast doubt on what he had put Kaia through.
He still doesn't understand the severity of what he did, he still truly thinks that he just gave into the mate bond.
He really was beyond redemption.

A part ofwants her to run back upstairs, wants her to be miles from him, oceans away from him. But why
should she be the one to hide, why should she be the one to cower.
"No Kaia it's fine." | gesture for her to walk farther into the office. My wolf is pushing beneath the surface asking
