I was stunned. I hadn't expected him to be this tender to coax me.

"Alright, fine. I won't go. I'm tired," I said with a lazy yawn, curling up on my side. "Goodnight, I'm going to sleep.

Watching his tall, commanding figure retreat, I sighed softly.

"Alpha, that heir of the Eclipse Pack is wonderful in every way except being too overbearing," Freya remarked lazily.

I mentally agreed. Caden's concern could be touching at times, but I detested being controlled.

If he forbidsfrom attending tomorrow's banquet, I'll sneak out anyway.
