If you don't hand over the child, I'll blow your brains out!" "Three..." "Mom, just give the child back to her! Hurry!" Xyla pleaded desperately.
"Two..." Chandra seethed with rage, but her survival instincts kicked in. The man in front of her looked like someone who wouldn't hesitate to follow through on his threat. Just as Justin was about to say the final number, she reluctantly handed the child over.
Rosalie rushed forward and snatched Steve back, holding him tightly. She cooed softly, "Steve, don't be scared. Mommy's here." From outside, the wail of police sirens broke through the air. Hearing themotion in the private dining room, the restaurant staff had called the police.
"You need to leave now," Xyla urged. "I'll explain to the police." Slap! Chandra slapped Xyla hard across the face. "Your mother had a gun to her head, and you're siding with them?!" Xyla clutched her stinging cheek. "Mom, you started all of this! Can't we just de-escalate the situation? I'm begging you!" Rosalie, no longer willing to waste time, handed the baby to Justin and bent down to gather her scattered belongings. She shoved everything hastily into her bag.

Chandra kicked one of them furiously. "You're useless! You can't even do your job properly!" Suddenly, Chandra noticed a bracelet on the ground. Her eyes widened in shock.
As she bent down to pick it up, Rosalie darted over, snatching it first and stuffing it into her bag.
"Wait a minute!" Chandra grabbed Rosalie's wrist.
"What do you want now?" Rosalie snapped, glaring at her.
"Let go!" Justin barked, holding the baby with one arm while raising the gun with the other, aiming it at Chandra.
Xyla hurriedly stepped between them. "Everyone, calm down! The police are almost here. You need to leave now." Rosalie forcefully yanked her arm free from Chandra's grip, shoved the bracelet into her bag, and quickly left with Justin.
Chandra started to chase after them, but Xyla blocked her path. "Mom, please, stop this!" "Get out of my way! I have questions for her!" Chandra pushed Xyla aside.
Just then, a phone rang.
Chandra answered, her tone sharp. "Hello?" The voice on the other end said something that made Chandra's el face change drastically. Her gaze turned toward the direction Rosalie and Justin had fled. en.kikistories "Those two-what color were their clothes?" she asked the caller urgently.

"Oh, it's just a misunderstanding," Xyla quickly stepped forward to explain. "This whole thing—" "Shut up!" Chandra turned and snapped at Xyla.
Xyla flinched, looking at her mother with pleading eyes. "Mom..." "Miss Fisher, if something happened, please tell us. We'll handle it," the officer assured her.
For a moment, Chandra seemed unsteady, as if she might collapse. She staggered back.
"Mom, are you okay?" Xyla rushed to support her.
Chandra shook her off and turned to the officers. "My two bodyguards got into a fight, and things got out of hand I'm sorry for the trouble, but I'll handle this myself. You can go." en.kikistories Swn
